About Walter Lee Champlin

  Walter Lee Champlin, born June 6, 1937 in Endicott, New York.  He was a devoted husband, father and Papa.  Walter was also a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959 as a military policeman.  He is Predeceased by a daughter, Leilani Champlin on May 4, 1979 and granddaughter Jessica Champlin on November 1, 2001.

  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Donna, who will miss him forever; two sons, Walter L. Champlin Jr. and wife Mary of Camden NY, Jeffrey Champlin and wife Brenda of Wylie, TX; his daughter Cathy Thomas and husband Timothy of Mesa, AZ; a sister Gail (Joy) Abernathy of Catasauqua, PA.    He was a loving grandfather of 5 grandsons: Corey Mock, Jessie Mock, Joshua Mock, Andrew Champlin, & Marty Findlay; 3 granddaughters: Brandy Ekelman, Michelle McCusker, & Alissa Champlin; and 17 great grandchildren.

  Walter loved to hunt and spend time with his family.  He was a man of few words, but showed love in his own silent way.  Walter loved his wife and spending time with her more than anything.  May you rest in Peace.

  A Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, November 2nd at Bunker’s University Chapel, 3529 E. University Drive in Mesa.
