Floyd “F.E.” Henderson, our beloved Father and Grandfather passed away peacefully with family, March 7, 2010, at the age of 90. Floyd was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on March 9, 1919. His life was full and adventurous, living through the depression and serving in the US Air Force for 25 years. He experienced tours all over the world as an aircraft mechanic. Once retired, he owned his own air conditioning business in Glendale for 27 years. Floyd was active in the Commemorative Air Force for 29 years serving as flight engineer on the B-17, Sentimental Journey. He was a faithful Christian and served as an elder of the Glendale Church of Christ for many years. He loved life but his priority was to serve the Lord. Floyd is preceded in death by his father, Otis, his brother Doff and mother Mary Elma and his son, Bob. Floyd is survived by his wife, Pauline, son Don, daughter Debbie Price (Joe), brother Les, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, compassionate caregiver and friend Barbara Stokes and numerous loving family members and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2010, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11 am. Visitation and services will both be held at Bunker’s Garden Chapel, 33 North Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ.
